Magu declares war against treasury looters, says anti-corruption war unstoppable

  EFCC has again declared war against looters of public funds - The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu said that nobody could stop him from fighting corruption - He urged Nigerians to support the war against corruption 

 The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has again reiterated his stance on corruption, saying nobody can stop the anti-graft agency from fighting corruption. While speaking when he played host to a delegation of Ohanaeze and Arewa Youth parliaments in Abuja, on Wednesday April 19, Magu declared that he would not be deterred in his fight against treasury looters.

  According to Magu, “I have always emphasised that we do not have the monopoly of knowledge to fight corruption as corruption is a crime against humanity as it affects everybody, so we need to effectively tackle corruption.” Read more:

The Nigerian police has said that it is wrong for any police officer to request for citizens’ phone. The police said officers have no right to search mobile phones of citizens whenever on routine stop and search on Nigerian road. The Lagos state police spokesperson Dolapo Badmus in video said phones are private belonging and citizens deserve a right to their privacy. Badmus said:  “Your phone is private; it's your private property because people do a lot of private stuffs on their mobile phones so it's wrong." "Police officers have no right to do that except there is a reasonable ground to do so,"  Badmus said.

Goodluck Jonathan to be questioned by Osinbajo-led panel
